Meet Celina
Greetings!
My name is Celina Baquiran and I am proud to say that I will be serving as the 2012- 2013 District Secretary for the New Jersey District of Key Club International. This past service year I served as the Lieutenant Governor of Division 14, and now it is an even greater honor and privilege to serve as the District Secretary. Having served on the District Board has taught me the responsibilities and duties of board members, and has given me an idea of what being District Secretary will be like. I have put my whole heart into this organization, and I look forward to working with all of you throughout the year.
During my term as Lieutenant Governor, I served as co-chair of the District Programs committee, chairperson of the Saturday Morning Awards committee, and was part of multiple committees throughout the year. I attended all required events and was able to communicate smoothly with all of my clubs. Serving as a Lieutenant Governor has taught me the great things about this organization and made me realize that I will stop at nothing to be in Key Club.
Although Key Club is one of my main priorities, I am involved in other clubs and activities. I play the flute in my school's marching band, am a member of the French Honor Society, co-manager of the boys' tennis team, and on my way to becoming a member of my school's Honor Society. To add even more to my plate, I currently take four AP and two honors classes. Some wonder how I can manage to handle everything I do, but I know that I love the activities I participate in and always try my best to succeed.
Being on the District Board this past service year was not the smoothest ride one could hope for, but I believe that everyone did a phenomenal job of keeping this district strong. In my opinion, the past District Secretaries have done a great job and I do not want to stray away from the foundations they have already set. Instead, I plan to add more to what they have done and so I have developed a few goals that I plan to accomplish this service year.
- Work with all members of the K-Family, the District Board, and clubs to increase communication
- Increase Key Club knowledge and spirit within our members
- Serve in as many service projects as possible
- Hear what members have to say about my job and the District and do my best to help them
If there is anything that I can for you this service year, please do not hesitate to contact me. If you have a question to ask, I would more than happy to answer! I look forward to seeing and working with all of you in the near future.
Yours in Caring and Service,
Celina Baquiran
