District Project
Combatting Youth Homelessness
For the 2025 – 2026 service year, there will be an emphasis on combatting youth homelessness! This will be done through:
Fundraising: Support organizations dedicated to ending youth homelessness by hosting fundraisers that provide essentials like hygiene kits, clothing, or shelter support for at-risk youth.
Service Events: Organize events such as donation drives, care package assemblies, or volunteer days with local shelters to directly assist youth experiencing homelessness.
Monthly Resources: Each month, your LTG will send out flyers and articles created by the District Project Committee to educate clubs on youth homelessness and provide actionable ways your club can get involved.
District Project Toolkit
The 25’-26’ District Project Toolkit is here! Download a copy below!
This toolkit will act as a guide for this year’s project-focus on combating youth homelessness across New Jersey. Through education, donation drives, and advocacy, you can make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people experiencing housing instability.
Some contents in this toolkit include the following:
Monthly focus ideas to plan projects year-round
A guide to creating Together Totes for youth in shelters or transitional housing
Drop-off locations to deliver donations directly to our partners
Fundraising, awareness, and reporting tips to maximize impact

- Creating Service Events: Generate ideas related to the district project.
- Community Engagement: Service event ideas, prompts, and more will be released throughout the year each month in your LTG’s newsletters and on the NJKC Instagram!
